National Institutes of Health (NIH) ComPASS Grant
The goals of NIH’s ComPASS program are to 1) study ways to reduce health disparities by addressing underlying structural factors within communities, and 2) develop a new research model for NIH where the projects are led by community organizations in collaboration with research partners.
Through this, the NIH was able to support farmworker health initiatives led by NC Farmworker Health Program, North Carolina State University, and Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
