Our project, “Addressing Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker Health Disparities with Information Resources,” focuses on improving the daily lives of migrant/seasonal farmworkers by expanding internet connectivity and access to online health information for farmworkers and their families. Our project has three aims: (1) identify and make available educational materials for farmworker health, (2) work with farmworker outreach workers on professional development and new technology, and (3) provide internet access and training to farmworkers and their families.

Materials for Health Education and Other Resources for Outreach Workers

We scanned countless websites and recovered hundreds of materials useful for health education. We want to ensure that farmworkers and their families have access to relevant health information that is easy to understand.

We also provide technology to enhance farmworker outreach and provide opportunities for outreach workers to learn about up-to-date and trustworthy health information online.

Resources for Researchers and Policy Makers

The scientific literature is often disconnected from the people who need it. We created a bibliography of migrant and seasonal farmworker health research.
